What we say:

Situated on a small hill near the Chao Lay village and Sunrise beach, The Reef is a boutique hotel that reminds us of an Italian island cabana. The hotel has a plain white and black theme throughout, and the rooms are sparkling clean with shiny white tile floors, comfy queen size beds, desks, safes, big mirrors, satellite flat-screen TVs, and modern hot water bathrooms with Western flush toilets. Outside, there's a courtyard and balcony with (albeit distant) ocean views, and WiFi is free. The staff are relaxed but professional, and overall the hotel has a refreshingly laidback atmosphere. It might be a walk to the beach, but if you're looking for comfort under 2,000 baht, the Reef might be Lipe's best pick.
