Diamond Beach Bungalows
Comfortable bungalows, cold staff

What we say:
Diamond Beach is a comfortable spot with fair prices and a variety of rooms. The bungalows and restaurant have been constructed near the sandiest stretch of Pakbara beach and it's possible to swim during high tide. The air-con rooms in the longhouse towards the back are bright, modern and clean, while the older air-con bungalows are a bit musty and dark. The smaller fan bungalows are painted bright pastel colours, but not all have been equally maintained -- take a look at a few before settling in. All bungalows have attached Western-style bathrooms and porches with a couple of chairs. While the accommodation is good, the staff are not very welcoming. They seem to cater more to local tourists, and seemed annoyed to see foreigners passing through. Still, the newer rooms are decent value, and the staff certainly won't turn anyone away.
