Rain Tong Hotel
Old school and cheap

What we say:
The Rian Tong Hotel has a cold and bland feel that wouldn't have been out of place in 1960s Communist China. It hasn't been renovated since at least that long ago but it does have among the cheapest rooms in town, and they're tidy and functional where it counts. Some of the furniture is fit for the trash, but the beds are comfortable with fresh white sheets and there's a table and chairs. Attached bathrooms have squat toilets and cold-water showers. Located at the end of Samuntapradit Road just before the canal, this hotel blends in with the shophouses and is easy to miss. The management are helpful and can speak some English.
