What we say: 3 stars

Located to the north of the shopping district, the 100 room VL Hat Yai sits atop a very busy intersection, and though the rooms are surprisingly quiet, the location is anything but scenic. Nevertheless the friendly staff do try hard to convince you that the VL is just right for you, and the very reasonable rates assist them in that regard. Rooms are moderately sized with soft beds, tv air-con and fridge, though the bathroom in the room we saw was a bit on the grotty side.
