What we say:

Almost opposite the Cathay Guesthouse, the Laem Thong is a popular choice amongst backpackers and flashpackers alike. Rooms are clean though basic and while the bathrooms can sometimes be a little average, this remains quite good value -- the air-con rooms are better value than the fan rooms. Lime green throughout with retro doors and lounges dotted about the place, the Laem Thong is a familiar and comfortable place -- you could do a lot worse in Hat Yai than here. Ideal location between the train station and the shopping area.
