Description
Power Beach Resort is definitely popular and has a great pool just a coconut's throw away from the beach. The bungalows are good enough, ranging from basic island-style huts to round concrete affairs, but are as packed in as tightly as the bodies around the pool the day before a Full Moon Party. Recommended for socialites.

Ao Ban Tai, Ko Pha Ngan
The new home of the Black Moon Party, Mac Bay Resort is frequented by a predominantly younger crowd, but party people of all ages stay here, and it's a fine family spot when the party's not on. This stretch of beach is the best on Ban Tai with the widest strip of softer than average sand. The staff... more
Hansa Resort
Ao Ban Tai, Ko Pha Ngan
Hansa is one of the most peaceful midrange resorts around. Nothing but palm groves lie on either side of the resort, so there are no crowds on the beach, which is wider and sandier than most parts of Ban Tai, and it's quiet. A small swimming pool and intimate little cafe sit near the beach, and... more
Great Bay Resort 2
145/11 Moo 1, Ao Ban Tai, Ko Pha Ngan
A two-storey lavender hotel-style by the pool on the beach was never going to fit in with the surrounds and Great Bay 2 doesn't even try. Pastel lunacy aside, its rooms are quite comfortable and most are very well-equipped, though some of the interior colour schemes also leave something to be... more
