Once a backpacker hangout, Charm beach has recently become more family-oriented with enough warm hospitality to share around. A plethora of swings and other playground equipment set just off the beach will keep the kids happy while mom and dad lounge around the pool or enjoy this decent stretch of beach. Plenty of shade from large trees provides an escape from the heat, but sunbathers will enjoy the sun deck and sand as well. The lodgings consist of good-sized, spacious wooden bungalows which, while placed fairly close together, are very well-kept and charmingly decorated. Very well-priced fan huts are available near the beach around the garden as are larger air-con rooms, and very spacious newer rooms are available poolside. This is a fine place for all sorts of travellers from budget to midrange, but with kids of their own, the owners have geared the place toward families with youngsters.
