The Passage Samui

Tasteful villas on a secluded beach

What we say: 3.5 stars

The Passage is located on a quiet stretch of beach towards the western end of Bang Po. If you're heading towards Nathon, it is shortly after the Four Seasons Hotel, after rounding the bend entering a small bay before Nathon Bay. Accommodation ranges from the more affordable superior rooms, which represent reasonable value for money, to the more expensive beachfront pool villas, which are overpriced compared to similar villas elsewhere on Ko Samui. Rooms are furnished in warm hues, with vaulted ceilings and floral friezes painted on the walls and feature flat screen TVs with satellite and DVD players, in-room safes, minibar, tea- and coffee-making facilities, free WiFi, air-con, and luxurious towels, robes and body products. Choose between two large swimming pools for a dip; one leads down a central path from reception past the rooms and another is located by the beach, next to the Terrace seafood restaurant. Complimentary snorkelling, kayaking and mountain bike equipment is on offer as well as a free daily minibus service to the main tourist areas of the island.
