Description
World Resort is a very popular family option, with a selection of family rooms available. All bungalows are a good size, clean with a wooden finish and have well thought-out verandas with loads of shade. Rather oddly, the pool is well back off the beach in the centre of the resort, and where you'd expect to see the pool, there's a sandpit! There's a well positioned beach-front restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Beware of bike rental -
By im0thhk ( total comments: 4  More information please ) Stayed here 9/2007
Clean, quiet and about 15 min walk from Fisherman village (spells out: FAR). Mostly families - so expect kids. There was some construction going around, but it wasn't too terrible. I rented a (overpriced) bike from the reception and they made me pay for damages I didn't do. Needless to say, a place that screws its own customers doesn't deserve a stay.

Peace Resort
178 Moo 1 Bophut Beach, Ko Samui
In the business since 1977, the sprawling Peace Resort is a popular, child-friendly option, with particularly charming deluxe bungalows finished in contemporary Thai style. The beachfront ones have been designed to get the best out of their positioning and they are fabulous, very light and airy.... more

Zazan
177 Moo 1 Bophut Beach, Ko Samui
Zazan boasts very tasteful, spacious bungalows with bathrooms which are as big as bungalows themselves. Garden view rooms have open-air bathrooms, though the beach view ones do not. A lovely pool beckons amid lush gardens, and there's also a very good bar and restaurant. The beach here is okay,... more

Lawana Resort
108/10 Moo 1 Bophut Beach, Ko Samui
What a shame the owners have packed in the bungalows here, as they are bright and airy, while the gardens that have been squeezed in are lovely. The pool is very well placed, beside the restaurant and looking out to sea. Reception is a long way from the beach. It's slightly overpriced, so do check... more
