Description
Stretching from its own private beach up to its cliffside restaurant high above Ao Taa Toh, Freedom Beach is a tranquil place with fairly basic, quite spacious bungalows. There's something here to suit most budgets, although Freedom Beach accommodates mostly backpackers. Rooms are situated on stilts at various elevations along the somewhat steep hillside, while the super laid-back and friendly Freedom Beach Bar serves its tasty tropical cocktails at the water's edge, and the terrace restaurant sits at the top of the cliff. It can grow tiresome making the trek up and down several times a day, though the well-maintained stone stairway makes the journey a little less perilous. Besides the spectacular bird's eye view of the beach and sea, Freedom Beach's restaurant serves up a decent variety of Thai and western dishes.
