Sunshine has been providing affordable high-quality accommodation since the early 1990's, making it one of Ko Tao's oldest dive resorts. While they aren’t luxury suites, the rooms are tastefully decorated, good-sized and clean. The shaded grassy grounds add to the ambiance of this peaceful beachfront locale. Sunshine's popularity led it to expand its operations with Sunshine 2, located next to the original resort and offering comfortable bungalows that are easy on the budget. The multilingual staff at Sunshine Resort are very friendly, while the more laid-back folks at Sunshine 2 are less eager to please. Both of these setups have decent Thai/western restaurants set on the beach, but the original Sunshine Resort offers its guests a little more for their money than Sunshine 2.
