The Island
Good value by Chaweng standards

What we say:
By Chaweng standards, The Island Resort and Spa is reasonably priced. Their bungalows closer to the beach are more attractive, painted in white and pastel hues, with small patios and thatched roofs to give them a vaguely Caribbean vibe. The older bungalows, although not as pretty to look at, are considerably cheaper. Rooms have been tastefully furnished and have all the usual amenities such as cable TV, air-con and minibar. A large swimming pool and restaurant are positioned on the beachfront, and the resort also offers a spa and conference venue. The resort lacks charm, and there are more attractive options in close proximity, but rates are reasonable and the resort is right in the middle of Chaweng if this is where you prefer to be. The Island Resort is 50m on your left hand side, when entering the one way, opposite Café Uno.
