What we say:

Previously the Tana Boutique Hotel, the Mercure Samui Chaweng Tana is located on the main Chaweng road, set back from the beach by about 100 metres. The hotel houses two eateries, Fuji Japanese Restaurant and Brasserie Tomo, a French cafe. Although the building is four floors high, it is not an imposing structure and visually appealing. The entrance is impressive, with aged hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, water features and beautiful woodwork. The mosaic swimming pool with a pool bar flows through the hotel, a wooden bridge over the pool connecting two wings. Breakfast is served in a terracotta-paved courtyard with a water feature and umbrellas. The rooms are simply yet tastefully furnished in neutral tones, and amenities include WiFi, air-con, dressing gowns and slippers, TV, hairdryer and safe. Although this hotel is not on the beach, it is only about a 200m walk, and is good value considering the standard.
