Six Senses Samui
Samui's luxury resort

What we say:
With a breathtaking setting on the western headland overlooking Samrong Bay, Six Senses Samui (previously Sila Evason Hideaway) is certainly up to their five-star standards. The majority of the rooms have private pools -- more plunge poolish than swimming pools -- and all rooms are two-storey. Many have stunning positions, with the pools seemingly dropping off into the ocean while others are poorly placed with the private pool, totally unshielded from the road. Within, the rooms are awesome - very tasteful with great spacious bathrooms and fabulous views. The resort is also very well regarded for two exceptional restaurants, On The Rock is our preferred option -- it really is on the rocks, and the views (and food) are memorable. Staff are right up to the excellent standards one expects from an Evason property. If in your budget (it is certainly way over ours!) you'll most likely not be disappointed.
