Description
With a breathtaking setting on the western headland overlooking Samrong Bay, the newest Evason resort is certainly up to their five-star standards. The majority of the rooms have private pools -- more plunge poolish than swimming pools - and all of them are two-storey. Many have stunning positions, with the pools seemingly dropping off into the ocean while others are poorly placed with the private pool, totally unshielded from the road. Maybe more gardens are planned. Inside the rooms are awesome - very tasteful with great spacious bathrooms and fabulous views. Our only fear is that all the bamboo fence and gatework may age a little quickly - in many places it's already turning black. A possibly poor choice of materials - time will tell. Otherwise, the place is splendid and, unfortunately, priced accordingly.
