Drop In Club Resort and Spa

Haad Rin's flashest hotel

This is a fancy midrange place away from the beaches towards the centre of Haad Rin. The rooms are located in a plain hotel-style building and a far more attractive, multi-level northern Lanna style structure set around the swimming pool -- one which can tend towards murky and greenish at times. The rooms are warm and comfortable, all equipped with a slew of amenities and classy decor. Internet service (3B/minute) and laundry 60B/kilo) are also provided here for above average prices as well as a shopping centre, gym and even an on-site doctor -- party till you puke! This is a good choice for more comfort away from the beach and is also a fine family choice with a children's pool and babysitting services.

Drop In Club Resort and Spa reviews

Read 1 opinions from Travelfish readers

Beautiful views even if it was a bit loud - 31st May, 2009
Upon arriving in Haad Rin, we stumbled upon a tout for Drop In who was took us back to the hotel with the promise of a room for 600THB/night. Having read that Drop In rooms cost upward of 2,000THB, we were interested but didn't have our hopes up since we have seen some of the less expensive rooms in nice hotels in other places...10 minutes later, we were in a lovely room complete with A/C, TV, mini-bar and swimming pool access! After a short while, we realised that the music at the pool was quite loud and we were concerned about how late into the night it would go...we stopped at reception where the manager happened to be and, straight away we were moved to another room away from the pool...top floor, ocean facing with AMAZING views. Truly, we didn't even have to go to any viewpoints or lookouts while on the island - we had the perfect view each morning when we woke up! Only complaint we'd make is that there is construction going on at the hotel and that you can hear it (from roughly 10am). That said, with a lovely room, amazing views and a very low price, you won't hear us complaining!
