Description
Toward the northern end of Sunrise Beach with its bungalows set back up a tree-lined hilly grove, Fairyland is a little quieter than other spots on this beach. Air-con, TV and minibars are standard in the spacious modern style concrete bungalows, which also feature good-sized sky-lit bathrooms. These are among the newest accommodations around and are very clean and well-kept. While they're very comfortable and a full range of spa treatments and other great services are available, the grounds and atmosphere here don't scream 'high class' like the management tries to project, and the prices are high, especially in the peak season when they get a bit ridiculous. Nonetheless, this is a good quality choice.

Delight is a very popular midrange setup just across the street from Sunrise Beach. The rooms are more expensive than average backpacker fare, but they're comfortable and well-equipped and are mostly inhabited by a younger, slightly more affluent crowd. With the swimming pool thrown into the deal,... more
