Sea View Haadrin Resort
Classic Thai-style huts, but not very friendly

What we say:
Located at the northern end of Sunrise Beach, the majority of bungalows here are large, worn concrete duplexes spread around a green palm grove away from the beach. Some newer, more charming little wooden huts with carved teak wood are a much better choice and face the beach, and more spacious solid wooden huts sit on the beachfront as well and are quite comfortable. Aside from the older units in the back, this place is incredibly good value to be on right on Sunrise Beach, although obviously incredibly noisy despite being at the quieter and most beautiful end of the beach. The restaurant and bar area is non-descript and scruffy and staff are grumpy and unfriendly.

Best resort in Haad Rin! =)
Stayed here for a week to catch the Full Moon party (18 May). Tim, the new gorgeous Thai manager who took over the resort a few months ago(actually her family owns the land where the resort stands), is very accommodating. She gave us a very good price (400B) for the cottage facing the garden eventhough it's just a few days before the full moon party. The room is very clean and spacious! The resort got free wifi, free use of billiard table, inflatable mattress for lounging at the sea, even sunblock and insect repellant. The restaurant got a flat screen tv with wide range of movies to choose from. I would highly recommend this resort and would surely stay here again next time I visit Koh Pha Ngan.

Nice Place
The place is great as long as you can get past the crabby owner.

The best spot on Haad Rin
The only reason to stay in Haad Rin is for the party and this place is at the end of the beach which is quieter -- though you can still hear the bar on the hill till 6 am -- but you don't go to Haad Rin to sleep! A safe spot for full moon...

Best on Haad Rin beach
If you want to stay at the sunrise beach at Haad Rin, Seaview, at the northern end of the beach, is the spot. It's away from the village, which makes it quieter -- that's important as the beach parties near the village go on here until 4am -- every night. The 1km long stretch of beach is a beautiful spot to wake up by in the morning. We stayed at the larger bungalows (600B) near the restaurant, which are spacious and well kept clean. The smaller rooms (there's about ten) are right on the beach, just like the movie. All over a good place to stay.
