Palita Lodge
Motel like but decent accomodation

What we say:
Palita Lodge caters to the young party crowd but not to the same degree as most. They offer more upscale accommodation for flasher travellers and families with a selection of wooden bungalows, modern villas near the beach, and a big block of hotel rooms at the back, all set around nice gardens. A large, spotless pool and sun deck is the centrepoint with a beachfront restaurant that somehow isn't quite as swanky as the rooms are trying to be. Prices are quite spendy, especially considering the competition has upscaled considerably in recent years, but the hotel rooms particularly, still offer good value. All rooms are very comfortable, with the full works, air-con and TVs as standard. Everything is immaculate and the family are friendly and helpful.

Beautiful relaxing hotel
We stayed at the deluxe bungalow for 2500 bhat (make sure you get a discount) wich was very nice. Very nice and very clean. Beautiful room, especially the bathroom and the bath itself. It's a bath in the floor with natural stones. Water coming from a bamboo stick above the room. Don't try to have a warm bath because the hot water becomes cold after a while. It is very luxery with a big tv, a minibar, a sofa with a nice view, a shower and a roomy bath. It's especially nice for families and honeymooners. Of course also for the people who want to a relaxing holiday. The hotel connects to the beach with a lounge hut where you can order nice cocktails. Breakfast is good with great variety. It isn't loud at all expect when the is a full moon party. We saw the cheaper rooms; the fan bungalow was very basic. You can see the ground through the floor... The airco bungalow was the same, a little bit bigger and of course the airco. Palita lodge has also a big and beautiful pool!

Really nice place
I stayed in one of the 150B rooms and it was fairly basic but for a place right on the beach it was a total bargain. Like the description says, it's probably got the best stretch of beach out front, but I would disagree with it being noisy. When I was there it was one of the quietest resorts on Sunrise beach. Also, when I was there they also had bungalows for 250B and 500B, as well as the cheapies and the beach front bungalows.
