Coco Hut
A happening resort

What we say:
Coco Hut is a lively place with something to offer most budgets. The two-storey guesthouse provides relatively inexpensive fan rooms to backpackers while a variety of suites and large private bungalows featuring Thai architecture in lovely dark wood provide more comfortable upscale accommodation. All of their rooms, scattered along a boardwalk from the beach up the hill and around lovely garden grounds, are well-kept and comfortable, but several levels of luxury are available, including some of the finest and most expensive rooms in the Haad Rin area. The atmosphere is fun and social, with most guests around full moon time tending to be younger and party-oriented, but this is also a good place for families as well. Coco is particularly popular with Israelis, who make up about half the clientele. A large sand pit off the lovely stretch of beach has a beach volleyball net and plenty of room to sunbathe, and the pool is often packed. Coco Hut's restaurant has a great selection at decent prices served in a laid-back atmosphere with two movie areas available with lots of floor cushions. The friendly service rounds out this happening place.

Stunning Beach
Stayed here just one night but could easily have stayed longer. A large resort with a comprehensive range of facilities and very friendly staff. Stayed in a basic but very comfortable room for 600B, seperate bathroom but with hot water. Stunningly beautiful and uncrowded beach with excellent swimming. Haad Rin in easy walking distance if you want a night out. Best of both worlds.

Loved it!
Coco Hut is just far enough from Haad Rin. We had a great stay there, and the staff really went out of their way to help us out after a motorbike accident. The massages in the massage hut are fantastic and I loved the little chill out room. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful beach
Really nice resort with one of the nicest beaches we found on the island and good food.

A lot of Israelies
I think we were the only people staying at Coco Hut who were not from Israel. The bungalows are great -- it was a real splurge for us and we did stay an extra night because the beach here is so beautiful, but it would have been nice to have had a broader mix of nationalities staying there. Management said that around 80% of the guests who stay here are from Israel. The restaurant was ok, but nothing special - we ate at Leela a lot.
