Description
Formerly known as Bumblebee, Sarikantang is a classy operation for budget to upscale travellers. The atmosphere is more mature than neighbouring Coco Hut but still quite relaxed and casual. Two-storey concrete buildings and some duplexes are less charming than others on Ko Pha Ngan, but some large wooden and concrete bungalows offer more privacy and style. The fan rooms are reasonably priced for the comfort and amenities offered here, especially considering the pool and spa facilities offered. The fancier air-con bungalows are very well-equipped, spacious and immaculate with large comfortable beds. The sea view restaurant has a classy atmosphere and reasonably priced food. This is a good place for families and those seeking more comfort and a little more tranquility.

Nice Resort at beautiful beach -

Stayed here during Fullmoon Party. Had one of the expensive bungalows at the beach, but was worth its money. The biggest plus is the location! The best beach at Koh Phangan! Clean and quite. Even during Fullmoon party we heard nothing but the day after, as the After party started near Coco Hut Resort, which is nearby.
10min walk to center of Haad Rin, Pool. They only clean every 3rd day, which is not ok for the money you pay, but ok if you´re not a pig. Less Service.

Quiet and chilled -

Spent three nights here recently. Beach is really nice - quite small but pretty quiet and great sea for swimming. Hut with fan was quite spacious although water shortage on island meant there was little water from taps.
Staff were really helpful and food was good and cheap in a relaxed restaurant/bar that stays open pretty late - although they did show a few too many dodgy Hollywood films.
Bit of a trek to get to as we were dropped off in Haad Rin and had to walk ten minutes up a steep, dusty track with backpacks. However, its proximity to Haad Rin is no disadvantage - as the beach is completely separate and very relaxed.

Coco Hut
Haad Saikantang, Ko Pha Ngan
Coco Hut is a lively place with something to offer most budgets. The two-storey guesthouse provides relatively inexpensive fan rooms to backpackers while a variety of suites and large private bungalows featuring Thai architecture in lovely dark wood provide more comfortable upscale accommodation.... more
