Description
Lotus is a very friendly spot popular with divers and backpackers. The on-site dive centre offers a full range of PADI training and recreational activities. Rooms are available to suit most budgets, and divers are given special low rates for basic rooms. The rooms here aren't much to look at, large wooden units with faded exteriors and green roofs, but they are well-sized and positioned either on the beach or in a beautiful green garden. Between the garden and the beach lies a lagoon with a hint of raw sewage odor, but no buildings are situated near the smelly area. Lotus has a lovely beach restaurant serving roasts every Sunday and lots of other good stuff every day. The beach bar is among Ko Tao's most happening spots at night and attracts party people from around the island.
