Bow Thong Resort
Not as luxurious as it prices

Description
Bow Thong is a mid-range setup located at the north end of Sairee beach. They offer a wide range of prices based on size and location, but their more expensive rooms are a bit overpriced. This is probably due to the fact that Bow Thong is sandwiched between the two fanciest setups on Sairee beach. They do offer a few affordable, very simple wooden huts that have a skylight in the bathroom but have worn linen and strange winter scenery decorating the walls -- not what you want to see in the tropics. These rooms do have good-sized decks, though, with a table and chairs. Some new thatch-roofed huts on the beach are much cleaner and more comfortable. These bungalows, though, are priced comparably to much higher quality accommodation located nearby. Bow Thong is a friendly spot, however, and offers a travel agency, kayak rentals and air mattresses (40B) for use in the sea.

OK bungalow, BAD restaurant - ![]()

Our bungalow was OK for it's price (550 B) but they didn't clean during our 4 night stay. It has a good location and is on a nice part of Had Sairee. But be warned - do not eat here! The restaurant is horrible with totally incompetent staff. We waited for 45 min for very bad, tasteless food. We actually saw that 'aha' moment when our server, who had been AWOL most of the time we were waiting, realized he had flaked on our drink order. It was actually funny to watch several of the staff congregate to figure out how to make our drinks since the guy tending bar had wandered off as well. We vowed never to eat there again but unfortunately we were being picked up for a snorkeling trip and didn't have time to go someplace else. We only asked for yogurt with fruit and OJ and told them of our time crunch. It took them over 20 minutes to bring us yogurt. We never got the OJ. The driver was kind enough to wait as we had to down our food. 6 stars for the bungalow but 0 stars for the restaurant

I cant really whats so good about this place.
When we first arrived to our room there was no towels or sheets in it.
the staff is rude and when you ask them some thing it feels like you ar bothering them. the reception area is very dirty and messy. And almost everytime you go there you have to wait at least 10 minutes for some body too show up and help you. Even if you are totally alone.
And btw you cant eat here, and even if you could you wouldnt cause its so dirty!

I was very pleased with the hut that i got here.. we turned up on the day and had two huts available.. fantastic views of sairee beach swinging on your hammock on the balcony of your hut. Granted all that is in there is a bed (double) and a shower room... You do get a ceiling fan and electricity points etc... The owner here wont haggle on price per night.. we stayed in the bungalow in January and it was 850B per night.. not too bad... will deffinately go back there! I reckon this resort is on the best part of the beach!
