Seashell Gold Palm Resort
Popular midrange diver's lodge

What we say:
With both a scuba training pool as well as a resort-style pool, you won't have to share your cooling off with bubblemakers here! Rooms stretch back from the beach and radiate out from the new pool complex, dotted between shrub-lined walkways. Choose from individual bungalows and some adjoining rooms, but all have balconies on which to relax. The resort has added many rooms over the last few years with each development being slightly different, offering an individual feel to them. With the pool and proximity to the beach the resort is perfect for families and is open to divers and non-divers too. Divers at Seashell's attached dive centre will receive discounts.

cares for budget divers too
Seashell has also standard wooden bungalows with fan, priced at 450 BHT. If you take a diver course you can have one of these bungalows for free, or 40% discount on the bigger ones.

expensive but nice
There are several types of air con rooms to choose from - the bungalow pictured above was the type where we stayed and we paid 2500 baht per night. Any diving we did with them resulted in a discount for the room. The bungalow was beautiful - clean and well decorated with hot water, tv and fridge. There was also a nice porch with a lounge chair out front. There was one night and day where the electicity was out (common for the island) but Seashell gave us a large discount for that day. Overall we were quite happy staying there and would go back again.
