Description
A perilous 400m climb from the north end of the beach leads travellers to the beautifully lush grounds of Seaview Than Sadet. Access from the main road is slightly shorter and less treacherous but still a bit of a trek. Luckily, free transportation is provided to and from the beach daily at 10:00 and 16:00. Seaview's inexpensive bungalows are simple but well-sized and very clean. Arranged in a beautiful cliffside garden, each bungalow has a private deck overlooking the sea; Seaview truly lives up to its name. The small, intimate restaurant also provides equally breathtaking views of both the sea and the jungle on two separate terraces. It offers a wide selection of reasonably-priced Thai and international dishes and nightly fresh seafood barbecues. The laid-back staff is friendly and eager to please and has been known to accompany diners with an acoustic guitar. Seaview Than Sadet is a great value for those looking to relax and soak up the island atmosphere without a need for easy beach access.
