Eden Garden
Very basic, exposed spot

What we say:
A very laid-back and friendly setup on the northern rocks past Bamboo Huts, Eden Garden is popular among the mellower backpacking crowd. They offer cheap little shared-bathroom huts as well as a selection with private bathrooms, all scattered along a grassy hillside and some rocks. The semi-rickety bamboo units are small and very rustic, some with interesting smells, while the terrace bar/restaurant has a very chilled out vibe with great views. The music is mellow and the staff hospitable and sleepy. This is a simple and tranquil option.

This is heaven
Booking not possible in this place, you just have to arrive and hope for the best. The rooms are unbelievably cheap for this island (150baht), but I think this is to compensate for the cost of getting here, as access is only by boat (200baht pp at time of writing, which can quickly add up if doing regular journeys to rest of the island). The VIP (!!) rooms are 450baht, and although sufficient, very basic and misleadingly named. Great views though. As for the bar/restaurant/reception area, Wow! It's the place with everything you need. Great staff, views, atmosphere, food and happy stuff and on tuesdays, great parties. Also check out the nearby Guy's bar on friday nights. Possibly one of the best parties on the island. Can't wait to get back to this place. Just don't go there looking for aircon or tv, or internet!

eden is my lover
aesthatically- the bar is one of the most beautiful I've ever been in. As far as accomodation on Haad Yuan goes- I would recommend Eden hands down. Cheap. Great employees. and views to die for. But seriously. Beware the shroom shakes.

Fun hangout spot
I spent alot of time here while training at nearby horizon thai boxing camp. The staff are great, the Penang curry is the best i've ever had, the sunday night parties are awesome. But beware the mushroom shakes, don't have whole one to yourself! Say hi to Geng from Danny and Erika!
