What we say:

Haad Thian Resort has well-priced basic huts along the middle of the beach and some a short distance inland. The simple wooden huts are solid and fairly well-kept. This is the only place around with rooms right on the beach, and it's among the cheapest spots too, so it's very popular. The large restaurant is a mellow place to enjoy some tasty Thai food at decent prices, and the woman running the place is very friendly. Recommended for bargain hunters and beach bums, the phone doesn't always work, so you may have to try your luck and stop by to see what's available.
