What we say:

The only setup on this peaceful little cove, this is possibly the most peaceful spot on all of Ko Pha Ngan. The sand is a little coarse and the sea floor rocky, but the swimming is great, and the tranquillity makes it worth checking out. The basic bungalows are staggered at various elevations privately spaced along the hillside. The rooms are a bit spendier than their quality warrants, but the views from most are wonderful. Yoga is also offered on a cliffside terrace, but those participating in the local fasting fad will be declined, as the folks here want guests eating at their restaurant. It's hard not to want to east here with great pasta, salads and vegetarian Thai food for good prices served in a relaxed atmosphere with lots of floor cushions. Idylic and hard to leave

This is a stunning spot with very reasonably priced bungalows that have amazing views and great decks and hammocks - it was the cheapest option we could find with private bathrooms on Haad Thien (and as it is only a short walk from there you can still do yoga at The Sanctuary if its not running at Why Nam). I would agree that the staff are a bit moody, and its hard to work out why but the food is fantastic and it is the perfect beach to chill out on.

Want to get lazy?

No need to leave this beach. Best restaurant!! Very alternative scene with longstayers. Staff grumpy sometimes, it's hard to put a smile on their face. Owner has a very big mouth but is warmhearted, grow to love him. Best bungalow for best price. Less noise from the boats because they don't land here as often. BEST but very firm massage.
