What we say:

As the name suggests, Silver Cliff sits high above the beach atop Haad Sadet's northern cliff. Silver Cliff offers a wide selection of bungalows of varying price and quality. The small basic huts at the top of the cliff are mostly in sad shape but are the least expensive huts on Haad Sadet. Further down the cliff there are larger, slightly-sturdier bungalows and even some very attractive two-storey units for a little more money. Silver Cliff's restaurant is its finest feature. Perched atop the cliff with impressive views of the beach and the sea, it offers reasonably-priced food and drinks in a laid-back atmosphere. This is the perfect place to relax high above the worst of the tropical heat and enjoy cheap Beer Chang. Don't enjoy too many, though, if you intend to hit the beach. Beach access requires a somewhat scary hike down an uneven stone staircase. In spite of its shortcomings, Silver Cliff's low prices and friendly, smiling staff keep its occupancy high, but reservations can only be made by telephone up to one day prior to arrival. It's easy on the budget, but you get what you pay for.
