Baan Panburi Village
A very good spot

What we say:
Like many setups on Thong Nai Pan Noi, Baan Panburi's bungalows are not right on the beach. Rather, the small thatch huts are packed together along a cement path in a palm grove, giving it a tropical village feel. The huts are quite charming and well-kept, though the cheapest and oldest are showing their age and feature wooden shutter windows, while newer ones have glass windows and a much sturdier feel. All of the rooms could stand to be a bit cheaper, though. The reception area gives this place a more serious and professional feel than the rest of the relaxed resort and has an internet room with WiFi. The laid-back beach restaurant and bar add a nice touch with island themes and daily happy hour specials.

Great Place to Be
I love ban pan buri...that being said, I haven't stayed in the other bungalows here so I really can't compare. But the staff is SO friendly, the ambience is very cool, and you can get air-con (which in my opinion would be a must during June-July). Our hut also had a private bathroom, which, while it wasn't luxurious (and very buggy) was better than the shared squats you get with most of the other cheaper options I saw. The food is excellent and Tong Nai Pan Noi beach is simply fantastic. Bottom line is, if you are lucky (or smart) enough to make it to this beach, it really doesn't matter where you stay....but this is a good option. I would totally stay here again.

nice atmosphere
We stayed here for a night. The 500B bungalows were all full but we got a deluxe bungalow for 4 ppl for 1700B. It had a hot shower, air-con and they brought in an extra mattress for the fourth person. The whole complex is nice as it has a feel of a little village. They have nice spots with mats on the beach and they have two nice restaurants that are chilled out and play funky music. The staff are very friendly and attentive to your needs. This part of the island is also very beautiful and not too crowded. The only downside at the moment is that they are building another resort next to this one, so there can be a bit of noise due to construction, but it's very tolerable.

The bathroom is a big disappointment
Don't get me wrong, I liked staying at Baan Pan Buri and Thong Nai Pan Noi. However, I'm a bit picky about bathrooms and toilets and I have to say that the bathroom in their New Island Hut is a big disappointment. The walls and the floor needs a good scrubing. There is little or almost no natural light coming in the hut unless you open the window. Unfortunately, this window doesn't have a screen, so you can only leave it open when you're awake since humans with malicious intent can easily climb inside your room through it. They provide a mosquito net in the huts. USE IT. if you don't like using mosquito nets, apply insect repellent generously. The resort itself is very beautiful. I've received great service from their staff. The food at their restaurant is superb! As for the noise at night. Were there any? I must be deaf.

Paradise
The beach itself was beautiful. The bure I stayed in my first night was lovely. The cheaper bungalow I moved to when my mate arrived (she was on a tighter budget) was perfectly acceptable. The restaurant was very good, and the bbq particularly so. The massages are great here too. Overall, a massive thumbs up - one of my fave places I stayed at!

Nice bungalows and restaurant
We spent just one day at Baan Pranburi, but we went back day by day because of the good restaurant and food.

Great beach, lovely people
Just spent four nights here. Cheapest huts are basic but fine and everything else is great. The beach is awesome - silky sand and perfect blue sea. Food really good and staff helpful - especially Mr Cahi. He is a Burmese waiter and is a really fun, helpful character. Great value and setting.
