Fantasea Resort
Funky and friendly

What we say:
With several styles to choose from, Fantasea has bungalows to fit most budgets and also offers motorbike rentals and travel information. Most of the wooden bungalows, which they classify as beach shacks, are crowded together away from the beach, with no views and are mostly fairly shabby and old. There are a few tiny cement bungalows and some newer large triangular units which offer more privacy. These modern and somewhat peculiar-looking triangles are very cozy inside and feature a selection of mod-cons and tasteful decor. The ladder to to a small second-storey loft is a nice touch, but the lofts are really too small for more than one person to cram into semi-comfortably — and it gets hot up there. The friendly family are hospitable but most members don't speak much English. The restaurant is well located — raised above the beach, with low table seating and a pleasant atmosphere.
