What we say:

Incongruously located next door to the fish market, Mandalai purports to be Chaloklum's first five star hotel. Built in 2008 but already showing some wear and tear, the location brings with it a whiff of fish — perhaps adding authenticity as guests sunbathe around the smallish but pretty swimming pool. Rooms are well equipped with all mod-cons you would expect in a high end operation including flat screen tvs, and trendy minimalist Asian decor is a feature throughout the glaringly-white hotel. Prices vary considerably depending on the view of the room, or lack of, and discounts can be easily negotiated.
