Ocean View is located right on the beach, and can be hard to spot from the road as the entrance consists only of a footpath with no sign. Once you have found the resort the hunt is well worth it as the location is beautiful and totally private and peaceful. Lodging is inexpensive with a hodge-podge variety of rooms ranging from basic shanty bungalows, to cement modern bungalows with characters, and large sturdy teak double rooms. Despite the beautiful setting, the resort itself is a little shabby looking, but that just goes with the super laid-back territory. All rooms are fairly well-kept and clean. Spacious and tastefully-decorated huts start on the beach and spread up the hillside, many with good sea views, and some located right on the white sand beach. All are easy on the budget. The staff here are friendly, but can be hard to find at certain times. The beach-side restaurant serves a wide assortment of tasty treats from local seafood and Thai cuisine to steaks and other western dishes. The cocktail menu is extensive and well thought out. Recommended for families and midrange travellers.

Abolutely fabulous

What a find! Beautiful beach and bungalow operation, Staff could not ne more helpful and always available. Food was the best Thai food we have ever eaten - amazing! Excellent snorkeling off the beach and squid fishing off the rocks at sunset. Keep it a secret!!!!

Best bungalows

Bovy and her staff have created a fantastically welcoming atmosphere for their well-run bungalows. The rooms are huge, clean, and relatively bug-free. The restaurant serves much better than average beach fair, including a nightly list of specials featuring local seafood. The food is Bangkok-quality good, real attention is paid to getting it exactly right. Bovy is full of great advice and loves to chat with her customers. Honestly the best place I've stayed on any beach in Thailand.
