A particularly friendly and relaxing spot with a fine beach location, Haad Khom offers great bungalows suited to most travellers for low prices. The bungalows, spread along a lush green hillside, are priced according to location, and the only beachfront rooms are in a duplex-style double bungalow. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the structures themselves quite sturdy. The restaurant atop the hill provides some of the best views around and a variety of inexpensive Thai and western food, including a good vegetarian selection. The cool breeze on this nicely shaded hillside provides natural air-conditioning, so the fans in the huts are typically sufficient for beating the heat. A selection of books are also available to be enjoyed in one of several beachside hammocks.

Hat Khom has good clean simple bungalows on the best beach on the island. Very quiet and remote, needs transport to access. Friendly staff. Mr Wong, the owner, is very nice.
