A particularly friendly and relaxing spot with a private feeling beach location, Haad Khom offers sturdy wooden bungalows suited to most travellers for low prices. The bungalows, spread along a hillside, are priced according to position, and there are some beachfront rooms, including some duplex-style double bungalows, which have a really lovely situation. The whole resort is a bit scruffy, especially the entrance and impassable driveway, and some of the bungalows are showing their age but the vibe is super chilled. The restaurant atop the hill provides some of the best views around and a variety of inexpensive Thai and western food, including a good vegetarian selection. The cool breeze on this nicely shaded hillside provides natural air-conditioning, so the fans in the huts are typically sufficient for beating the heat. A selection of books are also available to be enjoyed in one of several beachside hammocks.

Peaceful Paradise
Lovely setting for a resort at this secluded beach on the far north of the island.Simple small bungalows and larger bungalows nearer the beach are available with prices negotiable for longer stays.The restraunt also cooks up nice food with friendly service.The resort is a half hour walk to the fishing town at chaloklom bay where there is a little more action and choice of restraunts.

Quiet and remote
Hat Khom has good clean simple bungalows on the best beach on the island. Very quiet and remote, needs transport to access. Friendly staff. Mr Wong, the owner, is very nice.

Almost afraid to share my little secret...
...but Haad Khom is the perfect spot to forget about the world. Get there quick, because it is developing rapidly. The staff are wonderfully kind and personable, though. Highly recommended.
