Description
With all of its bungalow on the beach, North Beach is a good, inexpensive backpacker and beach-bum hang out. The bungalows are a charming island-style bamboo design outside, though plain wood inside. Some have patchwork paneling to cover holes in the wallls while holes in the floor remain bare. Otherwise, the huts are clean with fresh bathrooms, certainly sufficient for cheap beachfront accommodations. The laid-back beachfront restaurant offers an expansive menu featuring steaks, fresh local seafood and barbecue for reasonable prices. This place if freindly, relaxed and well-priced. A good choice.

We stayed a few nights here and liked it a lot. The family who run it are very friendly and were great hosts. In the evenings (after dinner) we tended to find ourselves up at the bar out front of Fanta though.
