A happening backpacker spot with windsurfing

What we say:
Cookies is a very popular backpacker spot with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The basic bungalows are scattered around vast grounds from the beach -- fairly rocky here -- around a garden and up the hill. The huts are not the best, mostly worn out and some shabbier than others, but they're clean and very well-priced. A small pool is a refreshing place to splash around, and a mini mart, book store and internet cafe sit atop the hill. Windsurfing and small sailboats (300B/hour) rentals are also available for getting out on the sea.

A good landing in Thailand
Such a beautiful spot. very secluded, good staff, reasonable food, a bit expensive. We found out once on Ko Pha Ngan that there was a lot of cheaper accommodation available on the island but cookie's was an amazing landing pad. At low tide near cookie's it is pretty much impossible to swim but high tide is beautiful.

Cheap n cheery
As the description says. Small resort at very good prices with a good sunset view. Food in the restaurant was ok, nothing amazing. The bungalows are oldish but fine - small set of drawers for storage, western toilets and sinks with mirror, big front balconies but uncomfortably hard mattress. I purchased floor cushions in thong sala to put on the bed so I could sleep. There are few song thaew around, so hiring a bike is recommended for this side of the island.
