With better quality rooms than some other budget spots, centrally-located Haad Salad Villa is a great choice on probably the nicest stretch of the beach. Only a pair of large rooms built together sit on the beach, but many more are very close, situated around a central sandy lawn. A few of the bungalow are duplex style woven-sided jobs, but the majority very clean and comfortable in sturdy bug-free structures with glass windows. Bathrooms are big, basic and well-kept, and the sleeping rooms are quite spacious, besides the two smallest huts, which are quite charming but feel like staying in a private little cabin on a boat with a separate bathroom. The common areas of the resort could do with a good clear out but the staff here are very friendly and provide free snorkels and air mattresses for playing in the sea. One of the best deals around.

A good choice

We had a room with 2 double beds, a/c, private bathroom and fridge for 900b a night. Only a few steps from the beach. It was of a reasonable size, clean, with private veranda. The onsite restaurant is good and offers great value for the resort. There's free wifi available, although the signal often drops out. Overall a nice place and better value than many of its rivals.

Great Food! Terrible Bungalows!

Haad Salad Villa in my opinion for accommodation is a no go the bungalows are dirty and stuffy, the air conditioning kept going off and they said they had wifi which was not true they kept saying not working so why advertise it?! The staff were not friendly or helpful... Although the resturaunt and bar was great they were run by a different family of aussies and thai, excellent service, great music, exceptional food and cocktails!! they had a happy hour special where you could get a cocktail of the day for 90baht excellent for the sunsets! Unfortunately while i was there these people left the premises as the owners of the bungalows were not very nice to them! i dont understand why they were always busy, friendly and helpful! i will not be returning because the only good thing about this place was the food and drink!!

Lovely Spot

I stayed in a small bungalow that was larger than most I have stayed in. It was very clean and had a porch, a wardrobe and a small refrigerator. The grounds are lovely. The new cook at the restaurant is fantastic. I had two of the best meals I've had when traveling in Thailand. Lovely sunsets every day.
