On Haad Yao's southern headland, Bounty Resort's bungalows offer clean and comfortable lodgings for most budgets. Their classic wooden island-style bungalows are their oldest but are in fine shape and reasonably priced. Most of the other rooms, while providing a great deal of comfort, are packed together in pairs and in a large hotel-like building. Oddly, many units were angled so that they only face other bungalows rather than taking advantage of their hilltop real estate and potential for great views. A few of the wooden bungalows at least get some view. The pool and hilltop breeze help beat the heat, and the price hikes aren't as dramatic as other places with pools.

Where possible the researcher will inspect at least a couple of rooms. I didn't want to leave - 16th August, 2007
We stayed in one of the bungalows- very clean and quiet. It had its own little front portch with a hammock- awesome after a day in the sun . The resort is on a cliff over looking the ocean with its own little beach- a bit shelly, but wonderful to watch the sunset. The staff was very kind and helpful- food wonderful too. Big screen tv so you won't miss any football games. If you want a quiet, comfortable, and affordable place for what you get this is for you. I didn't use the pool, but it looked great. There is snorkling equipment outback of the kitchen- just walk down to the beach and explore. Next door at highlife the restaurant is good if you want something different. Don't forget to rent a motorbike and explore the island.
