Description
This friendly, family-run operation offers a handful of well-priced simple bungalows which are perfect for backpackers. The mix-matched huts are all sturdy and solid and vary in size and proximity to the beach. The rooms consist mostly of a high, firm bed with a mosquito net and enough room for a bag or two. The only major issue here is the drafty bathrooms that attract insects, but that's what the mosquito net is for. Hut Sun's small, inexpensive restaurant serves everything from pizza to steak and offers tofu in most of its Thai dishes. With laundry service, travel assistance as well as motorbike and jeep rentals, Hut Sun provides just about everything backpackers might need.

By talesofloriandmark ( total comments: 3  More information please ) Stayed here 11/2007
After a long and bumpy ride on the catamaran ferry to Ko Pha Ngan and having no idea whhere we were going we decided to take the last tout standing and she brought us to Hut Sun. Run y a very nice family, Hut Sun was in the middle of renovating their huts and we were in the last one waiting to e renovated. It was chea, about 200THB a night, but it was very buggy since there were no screens on the windows. We decided to move on after one night. The food, on the other hand brought us back a few times. The cook here is amazing and we loved every bite.

Have you stayed at Hut Sun? What did you think?
