Hut Sun

This friendly, family-run operation offers a handful of well-priced simple bungalows which are perfect for backpackers.

The mix-matched huts are all sturdy and solid and vary in size and proximity to the beach. The rooms consist mostly of a high, firm bed with a mosquito net and enough room for a bag or two. The only major issue here is the drafty bathrooms that attract insects, but that's what the mosquito net is for. Hut Sun's small, inexpensive restaurant serves everything from pizza to steak and offers tofu in most of its Thai dishes. With laundry service, travel assistance as well as motorbike and jeep rentals, Hut Sun provides just about everything backpackers might need.
