Wang Sai is a great for families and mid-range travellers, offering a few beachfront bungalows and more separated from the beach by a lagoon and a stand of trees and shrubs.
The huts are all fairly new cement bungalows with slightly garish Thai adornments, most sitting along a green mountainside. The rooms are priced according to location, with the hillside rooms offering great views of the ocean. There are also some snazzy rooms just off the beach in a garden setting. These are perhaps not that tasteful but no doubt very comfortable. A lovely building with a colourful spiralling staircase appears out of place but offers a few very cozy rooms at the foot of the mountain. The lagoon-side restaurant provides a laid-back hangout with a selection of books and games and an assortment of Thai and western cuisine.
