Certainly one of the best deals on the beach, Mae Haad Cove has well-kept, comfortable rooms at a reasonable price. A handful of spacious dark-stained wooden bungalows sit near the edge of the beach while slightly larger, yet cheaper, units sit a short distance up the hill behind them. These bungalows are sturdy and very clean with large beds featuring soft white sheets. Each room, regardless of location has a decent view of the sea and a large shaded deck with bench seats and a hammock from which to enjoy the view or relax with a good book. Swimmers and profuse sweaters will appreciate the shower heads posted outside each bungalow for a post-ocean rinse. The restaurant at Mae Had Cove is small and cluttered but features one private beach sala and makes good authentic Thai food. This friendly spot is cozy and easy on the budget.
