Description
Salad Beach Resort is an upscale operation that offers just about everything one could want on a tropical holiday. Money exchange and ATM as well as mini mart, travel agency, 24 hour taxi service as well as snorkel (100B/day) and kayak (150B/hour, 700B/day) rentals are available, and the pool is lovely. A spa with a variety of services sits near the beach but is pricey compared to other nearby options. The staff is a mix of amiable and uninterested personnel, though most of the services are relatively good. Rooms are available in private bungalows or cheaper -- a relative term -- hotel rooms, all of which have air-con, TV and minibars and are quite cozy. The prices here aren't too outrageous in the low season (September to mid-December and mid-April through June) but are astronomical in the peak season (mid-December through January) simply because they can be. A comfy place for big spenders.
