Very friendly if a bit dated

Salad Beach Resort is a slightly dated mid-range operation that offers just about everything one could want on a tropical holiday. Money exchange and ATM as well as mini mart, travel agency, 24 hour taxi service as well as snorkel (100B/day) and kayak (150B/hour, 700B/day) rentals are available, and the pool is lovely. A spa with a variety of services sits near the beach but is pricey compared to other nearby options. The staff when we visited were excellent, super-friendly and helpful. Rooms are available in private bungalows or cheaper — a relative term — hotel rooms, all of which have air-con, TV and minibars but there are more attractive accommodations available for the price on Haad Salad and all the bathrooms need updating. The prices here aren't too outrageous in the low season (September to mid-December and mid-April through June) but are astronomical in the peak season (mid-December through January) simply because they can be.
