Asia Bungalows
Intimate, immaculate, a great price

What we say:
A very comfortable choice for midrange budgets, Asia Bungalows offers immaculate bungalows with air-con, hot water and refrigerators. These large concrete units have a classy feel and are very well-kept, spacious and spotless. A few sit on the beach while most are spread around a palm-fringed lawn. Prices are determined by location with the beachfront units costing just a little more than those in the garden. If approaching from the beach, the reception is difficult to find, set far back behind the bungalows near a small dirt road. For the quality of the rooms and the location the price is excellent.

Clean & Quiet
This place has a large plot of land, but only 10 bungalows all at the front near to the beach. The owner stated that they have no intention of adding more bungalows and overcrowding the place which is a credit to them. Very quiet and very low key without a restaurant, but the staff are very friendly and helpful. Bedsheets and towels were changed every 2 days and free water was left out side each morning.

Top Place
Found this by accident while staying elsewhere on this beach. Lucky find we must say. Place was virtually empty so we got the beachfront room for 1200 Baht per night, and ended up staying 5 nights. Would have stayed longer but too old for the full moon party. Room was very clean and couldnt fault it, apart from the hard bed (but every place has those dont they?). Absolute beach front, nice palm tree by the deck for shade in the afternoon. The owner was a very nice lady, even did our laundry (20 baht/kilo). Having no restaurant wasnt a bad thing, as there was no obligation or guilt about the eating in-house thing. Plenty of other good restaurants up and down the beach to choose from. The village was only a short walk away (dont miss the Reggae Bar). Overall this place was probably the most relaxed and best value we saw in Thailand.
