Silver Beach has very wisely done away with its tiny old bamboo huts in favour of larger, much sturdier wooden bungalows. These well-kept units have tiled floors, screen doors and a fresh clean scent. Bungalows vary greatly in price depending on size and location but they remain very simple accommodations. The air-con rooms are more reasonably priced than the fan rooms relative to other comparable offerings on Haad Yao. The simple little restaurant serves an average selection of Thai and western cuisine at decent prices and sits on the edge of the beach. This is a fine place with comfortable yet very basic rooms.

Affordable and clean - 30th October, 2009
We went to silver beach bungalows because of the good reviews and stayed there for one night. We changed to far more beautiful Haad Salad the next day. Silver Beach is more a Backpacker place, quiet, staff is friendly, its just a few steps from the beach, spacious bungalows which are recently rennovated. But we didnt like the place too much because the bathroom was really really low budget so that i didnt want to take a shower, the mosquito net had big holes in it and the ac was far too loud and not adjustable. But to be fair I must say that we had more a flashpacker trip through thailand and preferred to stay in a bit pricier places. For the Silver Beach Bungalow with beach/seaview we payed 600 THB during low season and I guess for more low budgeted travellers it will be a very good location to stay. So we didn´t like the place but that doesnt mean that it is a bad place. It is but not for our taste.

Relaxed and friendly - 13th June, 2009
A quiet place a few steps from the beach is not always easy to find in Thailand. If you add in comfortable rooms at bargain prices, really nice owners and staff, and a decent restaurant, you've got a great place.

Really beautiful place - 26th July, 2007
Family were so warm and friendly. We stayed in beachfront bungalow for 400B a night during low season -- we were gobsmacked! Food ok, so many options on stretch of beach however. Highly recommended.
