With many bungalows right on the beach and a good selection of amenities to choose from, Laem Son II is one of the best deals on Ko Pha Ngan. Choose from simple fan bungalows to larger ones with air-con, satellite TV and a refrigerator, all at affordable prices. Though some of the cheaper options are a bit musty, they are quite large with walk-in closet/storage areas, and brightly-coloured linens really liven things up. The better-equipped rooms are very solid -- no critters creeping through loose slats -- and have lovely tile floors and some of them bathtubs. To top things off, the staff welcomes everyone with a smile and tries to establish a first name basis. A great spot.

Does every beach need an Irish pub?

Great spot except for the little bar out front (called something Irish - can't remember the name), I could really do without waking up to Eminem at 9.00am... The beach is lovely, great for tanning though the swimming is only so so.
