This incredibly friendly place hovers high above Tanote Bay where the breeze is cool and the views of lush hillsides and the blue-green sea are unforgettable. The woman running Tanote View is hilarious and makes everyone feel welcome. The laid-back restaurant, completewith beer garden, offers great Thai food, pasta and steaks in a private sala overlooking the bay. This is also a hip spot to come at night and dance to Latin grooves and have a drink or two with the prankster hostess. It's a bit of a walk by partially paved road down to the bay and rocky beach, but Tanote View offers very well-kept accommodations. These bungalows with their cool paint jobs are fairly simple but good-sized and clean, though some are a bit musty. Each also has a small area with chairs for hanging out in the relaxed garden village.
