Hin Wong Bungalows offer some of the cheapest accommodations and friendliest service on Ko Tao in a totally peaceful and rustic location. This spot right on the bay is difficult to leave, and they make it even harder with super cheap long-term rates. While the small basic huts aren't much to look at, they are in fair condition and provide a great base for those who want to get out and play in the water or simply enjoy the peace and quiet of Ko Tao's lesser-developed east coast. Kayaks (200B/hour, 250B/half day, 350B/day) and snorkel gear (80B/hour or half day, 10B/day) are available at the reception area. For a touch of culture, Hin Wong has a small art gallery up the hill from the water where mostly pop art can be viewed or purchased. For those who don't want to be totally shut off from civilisation, daily boats to Mae Haad and Sairee run at 08:30 and 13:30 for 80B/person.

Sahaat and his family are amongst the most hospitable you'll ever meet on Ko Tao. At the right time of the year, the snorkelling here is simply awesome. As said above well worth the hike.
