Description
More or less at the northernmost tip of Lamai Beach, Jungle Park has good, clean bungalows with a choice of beach, pool or garden view. A menagerie of animals and birds call this place home, though the dogs snoozing on the bungalow verandas might annoy non-dog lovers. The pool is well-shaded and a small spa is on-site. If you want a secluded spot on Lamai, this is a good and quiet choice if the prices are in your budget.

Be also aware that it's hard to get from the hotel to the town. It's really isolated. If you want to dine at a different restaurant or shop you have to take a taxi or hire a scooter.

We stayed at the garden view bungalow for 1800 bhat. It's a beautiful and roomy bungalow. The bathroom is especially very nice because it's modern and roomy. Be aware that the room is extremely moist and damp, even the sheets and your clothes won't dry. The TV is high up a closet. The bungalow has a nice portch and a beautiful view of the garden filled with palms and ponds and little rivers. The breakfast is french and served in a buffet. Eating diner in one of the little huts at the beach is really nice!
Cocktails are also nice. Food is french and thai. The beach is short and rocky. The water is shallow and watch out for underwater rocks! It's very quiet place at the end of the Lamai bay.

Long Island Resort

At this end of Lamai, the beach is reduced to mudflats at low tide, but Long Island has a pool and lovely massage sala that more than makes up for the poor swimming.
