Description
Weekender Villa has two rows of free-standing bungalows running back from the comfortable restaurant to the main road. There's a pleasing, beachside decking area with a plunge pool by the beach and plenty of bright yellow chairs and tables to enjoy afternoon drinks from. The bungalows are well maintained and very clean inside and while the bungalow's glass-fronts make them a little too exposed for our tastes, Weekender reports them to be quite successful with their guests. Try for a bungalow towards the beach to avoid too much traffic noise. As with other places on this stretch of Lamai, the beach turns to mudflats at low tide, but it's still pretty.

Jungle Park Beach
176 Moo 4 Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
More or less at the northernmost tip of Lamai Beach, Jungle Park has good, clean bungalows with a choice of beach, pool or garden view. A menagerie of animals and birds call this place home, though the dogs snoozing on the bungalow verandas might annoy non-dog lovers. The pool is well-shaded and a... more

Sand Sea Resort
Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
Set on a good stretch of Lamai, Sand Sea Resort has some very large, pink beachfront bungalows with open-air bathrooms boasting pebble-encrusted, heart-shaped baths from which you can survey all the beach happenings. The range of other options without the fancy baths are all clean and... more

Long Island Resort
146/24 Moo 4 Lamai Beach, Ko Samui
At this end of Lamai, the beach is reduced to mudflats at low tide, but Long Island has a pool and lovely massage sala that more than makes up for the poor swimming. The grounds are shade-cool and the rooms are clean and airy, with a couple of sticks of furniture on the terraces. The bathrooms are... more
