Lamai Resort
Getting flasher

What we say:
Lamai Resort is in the process of replacing their older wooden bungalows with solid, pastel coloured concrete bungalows with air-con. The new bungalows are comfortable and well appointed right on the beach, with a second row going for lower rates. When we passed by in May 2006 just the one pastel hut was complete but more were on the way. The restaurant here is often deserted, but there's plenty of good eating nearby.

The best
I have been staying at Lamai Resort since 1987. They have since torn down those bungalows but added these you see in the photo. I have stayed there I believe four times since the last being 2001. They always remember me and give me the exact beachfront bungalow I stayed in. The people are great, and trustworthy. A lot of Germans stay here but they are nice enough. First step from bungalow is on the beach. You can sit on your porch and listen to the tiny waves, go skinny dipping. I rarely ate there and they don't seem to mind. Just bring me heaps of soda, ice and always a smile. Great family run operation. Prices haven't changed since the 90's. I love these people, treat them with warmth and kindness and they will treat you the same. Vunderbar! All ist Vunderbar! pompooi
