Description
While the walk-in rates remain very high, asking for a discount will actually reap dividends for what are some pretty special, though wickedly overpriced bungalows. Plush and luxurious, the bungalows are kitted out with all the trappings of a high class resort, though the staff continue to disappoint -- as does the well-appointed Patio restaurant which looks promising, but falls over with a tacky, dog-eared and totally uninspiring menu that wouldn't look out of place in a Khao San Road flophouse. On the upside, Pavilion has a particularly nice pool and loads of deck-chairs facing out over a gorgeous stretch of beach. A lavish place no doubt, but for the money, we'd say Samui Jasmine is far better value.
